Programme for the BFI Southbank in September 2019. Seasons this month are a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Monty Python with introductions by members of the team and crew members on the films and TV shows; the second part of the Cary Grant season; African-American star Angela Bassett and Big Screen Classics again looks at films about emotional turmoil. BFI Southbank also hosts the Underwire Film Festival for female filmmaking talent and projecting the Archive looks at 'The Flesh and The Fiends' from 1959 and a revival of Rene Clair's Phantom of the Moulin Rouge. Special Events include a 50th anniversary screening of 'Midnight Cowboy' , Kermode in 3D, BFI films 'The Day Shall Come' and 'The Last Tree', a 70th anniversary of 'The Third Man' introduced by continuity supervisor Angela Allan and releases of 'Pain and Glory' and 'Bait'. Part 2 is a calendar featuring John Cleese in the Ministry of Silly Walks sketch on the cover
