Newspaper cutting headed with 'ASH TRAY THROWN THROUGH SCREEN' describing an ashtray being thrown through the screen of the Exeter Theatre Royal. The £1,250 cinemascope screen was damaged and a £10 bounty has been placed on information pertaining to the perpetrator by the manager, who also threaten to close the cinema on Sundays if such behaviour continues. Scanned and reprinted on a sheet of A4 with accompanying notes addressed to Gordon Chapman. States dates are unknown and that it seems to be a part of the 'Stop press' of the Express & Echo "if memory is right"
